Description
Hybrid round slings combine high-modulus polyethylene (HMPE) and high tenacity polyester fibres in a single sling. In most cases the load-bearing core is wound from HMPE fibres into an endless hank. This gives a high working load limit for a lighter, slimmer sling. A seamless, non-load bearing polyester sleeve encloses the core, protecting the fibres and consolidating the sling during use.
Trans-Web manufactures every hybrid round sling to order in-house. Working load limit, length, core and sleeve combination, and sleeve colour can all be specified to suit the lift, up to 60 tonnes.
Hybrid round slings conform to BS EN 1492-2 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and are manufactured with a safety factor of 7:1.
Each sling is individually labelled for full traceability. The label states the working load limit, sling number, material, effective working length, date of manufacture and all relevant lifting information.
