Lifting equipment we manufacture
Every sling is made from high-tenacity synthetic fibre and labelled with its working load limit (WLL). The right type depends on the load's weight, shape, surface and how it will be lifted — if you're unsure, ask us.

Polyester Round Slings
Continuous polyester yarn core inside a protective cover. Flexible, easy to handle and colour-coded by WLL.
Best for: heavy, awkward or irregular loads

HMPE Round Slings
High-modulus polyethylene core for very high capacity at a fraction of the weight of polyester or steel.
Best for: heavy lifts where sling weight matters
View HMPE round slings →
Duplex Webbing Slings
Two-ply flat polyester webbing that spreads the load across a wide bearing surface, with reinforced eyes.
Best for: general lifting, finished surfaces
View webbing slings →
Multi Leg Slings
Two, three and four-leg assemblies built from webbing or round slings with master links and hooks.
Best for: balanced lifts with several lifting points

Lifting Nets
Webbing nets for vehicles, bulk bags and loose items — made to the size and capacity required.
Best for: vehicles, mixed or loose loads

Sling Protection
Wear sleeves that protect slings from sharp edges and abrasion, and protect the load from marking.

Bespoke lifting equipment
As the manufacturer, we can build slings and assemblies around your lift rather than your lift around a catalogue: effective working length, capacity, eye type, fittings, protection and identification.

Lifting equipment FAQs
Trans-Web would be happy to advise on the right sling for your lift.
Are Trans-Web lifting slings made in the UK?
Yes. Our webbing slings, round slings and lifting nets are manufactured at our factory in Oldham, Greater Manchester, where we have made webbing products since 1987.
What is the difference between a webbing sling and a round sling?
A webbing sling is a flat woven strap that spreads the load over a wide surface. A round sling has a continuous yarn core inside a protective cover, making it more flexible and well suited to heavy or irregular loads.
What do the sling colours mean?
Polyester webbing and round slings are colour-coded by working load limit, so the capacity can be identified at a glance. The WLL is also stated on the sling's label, which should always be checked before use.
Can you make slings to a specific length or capacity?
Yes. Working length, capacity, eye type, fittings and protection can all be specified to order, including multi-leg assemblies.
Do you supply trade and wholesale customers?
Yes. We supply distributors, resellers, hire companies and industrial customers with commercial quantities, including repeat production for ongoing supply.
