What is a lashing system?
A lashing system is a strap assembly used to secure cargo during transport. It combines polyester webbing, a tensioner such as a ratchet or cam buckle, and end fittings that attach to the vehicle or load.
What is the difference between ratchet straps and cam buckle straps?
Ratchet straps use a ratchet handle to apply high tension and suit heavy loads on trucks and trailers. Cam buckle straps are tightened by hand, making them quicker to adjust and better for lighter or delicate loads.
Are Trans-Web lashing straps made in the UK?
Yes. All our lashing systems are manufactured at our factory in Oldham, Greater Manchester, where we have made webbing products since 1987.
Can you make lashing straps to my specification?
Yes. Length, webbing width and colour, tensioner, end fittings and printed company branding can all be specified to order.
